5.1 CLEANING:
Never wash the vehicle with a water hose!
To reliably prevent rust, it is recommended to thoroughly clean and dry the vehicle after
driving in the rain. The use of rust protection products is strongly recommended.
- Use suitable cleaning and care products and a soft sponge.
- Never use solvents.
- Never aim a direct jet of water at the following components:
Headlight, handlebar switch, brake lever, battery, charger.
- After washing, wipe with clean water to remove any cleaning residues.
- Dry with a leather cloth.
Caution:
Always make sure that all cables and brake cables are working when the outside temperature
is around freezing point.
After cleaning:
Carry out a few braking operations in a roadworthy place with extreme caution. The water on
the braking surfaces reduces the braking power for a short time.
Please keep your vehicle out of the sun and rain.
Check the screws and small parts regularly. Do not use alcohol, petrol, acetone or other che-
mical solvents to clean the vehicle as they may corrode it. Ensure regular maintenance and
inspection of the parts.
