Preparing the Walkie−Talkies

Inserting the batteries
Open the battery compartment. Insert the batteries in the open battery compartment.
Only use batteries of the type 1.2 V AAA NiMH. Pay attention to the correct polarity! Close the battery compartment.
Remove the belt clip beforehand, if necessary; Page 35.
Charging the walkie−talkies directly
Connect the power adapter plug to the walkie−talkie headset/charging socket. For safety reasons, only use the power adapter plug
supplied.
Before using the walkie−talkies for the first time, charge them for at least 10 hours. Do not use the walkie−talkies when
they are being charged.
Mains power outlet
The current battery charge status is indicated in the display:
Full Empty Unit switches off
The walkie−talkies need to be recharged as soon as the indicator flashes in the display and three acoustic warning signals
have been issued.
