1. Power on the PenCam as in step 3. When first turned
on the PenCam will automatically begin recording
indicated by the solid blue light
2. Push the top button to stop a recording
3. Push the top button again to begin another recording
NOTE: Allow several seconds for the PenCam to
finish processing before starting another recording
To power on the PenCam press and hold the top Power
Button until the orange light appears. After a few
seconds the PenCam will automatically begin recording
indicated by the blue light
To turn off the PenCam push and hold the Power button
until the light turns off
Note: To prevent loss of footage, ensure the camera has
stopped recording and the light is orange before
powering the PenCam off
Charging time for the PenCam is 2 hours - Before using
for the first time be sure to charge for full 2 hours
NOTE: If the battery loses charge while recording
the orange light will begin to flash rapidly and save the
current recording before shutting down. Recharge the
PenCam before using again
The PenCam has a built in lithium-ion battery that
provides approximately 90 minutes of power when fully
charged
Charge the PenCam by connecting the USB adapter to
the hidden USB connector inside the PenCam, then
connect the USB adapter to an available USB port on
your computer
When the PenCam is connected to a PC, Windows XP
and Vista will automatically recognize the device and
install the correct drivers
Navigate to the Removeable Disk in My Computer to
view, copy or delete the files
Playback video recordings on your PC with free media
players such as VLC, winDVD, powerDVD etc. capable
of decoding H263 format AVI files.
NOTE: If you are unable to view videos on your PC,
install the codec pack software named
klcodec417s.exe stored on the PenCam or down-
load from www.swannsecurity.com
