Changing the Chime
• Remove the front cover of the Doorbell unit (as previously described above
in “
Installing Batteries - Doorbell Unit
”).
• Inside the Doorbell unit, locate the
Chime Select
button as shown on the
right. Press the
Chime Select
button to play the next tune on the Speaker.
Keep pressing the button until you hear a tune you like. There are 38 tunes
to choose from. You do not need to confirm your selection. The tune playing
is the chime selected and the one that will be heard when the Doorbell
button is pressed.
• Snap the front cover back onto the Doorbell unit and fasten with the screw.
• The Doorbell unit is powered by 3 x LR44 1.5V alkaline batteries which come pre-installed.
• To activate the batteries:
1. Remove the nameplate cover by lifting it off then remove the screw at the base of the
Doorbell unit with a small Philips® screwdriver.
2. Insert a small flat-head screwdriver into the small notch above the screw hole at the base of
the Doorbell unit and lift the front cover off.
3. Remove the plastic tab from the battery holder then snap the front cover back onto the
Doorbell unit and fasten with the previously removed screw.
•
Replacement of the batteries is necessary as soon as the LED indicator stops flashing when
the Doorbell button is pressed.
