1 - Clearance-Adjusting Tool
First, take off a dust-proof cover of the clearance-adjusting hole disposed in the back of the drum bake
system. Secondly, insert the clearance-adjusting tool into the clearance-adjusting hole and move the
clearance-adjusting brake ratchet until a proper brake clearance is achieved.
2 - Assemble & Disassemble Pliers
First, insert the pliers between the brake cable head and the brake spring, and then press handles of the
pliers inwardly to a proper position, by which the pliers can be expanded outwardly and self-locked.
Secondly, disassemble the retaining spring and the spring retainer from the drum brake shoe.
Thirdly, separate the drum brake shoe away from the brake cable. The assembling steps are contrary to
the disassembling steps.
3 - Brake spring pliers
First, allow the sunflower
–shaped holder disposed at one jaw of the pliers to hold against the surface of
the drum brake shoe.
Secondly, let the L-shaped portion disposed at the other jaw of the pliers to hook the hooking portion of
the return spring. Thirdly, press handles of the pliers inwardly to make the hooking portion of the return
spring separated from the fixing hole.
