5. PREPARATION AND OPERATION
Speaker placement

Place the speakers symmetrically to the listener at least one meter away.

Place MSS far away from monitors and TV sets, as insigni

SPS-617 Multimedia Speaker System can be connected to virtually any audio source: DVD / CD, PC
sound card, etc. (see the

Before making any connections, make sure that the speaker system is switched o

Plug the Ø 3.5 mm mini-jack

(green) into the LINE IN port of your PC sound card, or connect it
to an MP3 or CD player. Then plug the 3.5 mm mini-jack (pink) into the microphone input on your PC
or laptop (see the
ǥ
onnection diagram, Fig. 3).

Plug the power cord

into the mains outlet.

Shift the POWER switch

into the ON position and adjust the volume level by turning the VOL
control knob

clockwise. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the volume, by turning the
knob counterclockwise, you reduce it.
