Jackson Safety® R60 Airmax Elite®
P R SL filter
The Jackson Safety® R60 Airmax Elite®system allows the user to additionally equip the P R SL filter with the prefilter
(product code: J5259) which captures coarse particles and thus it extends the operating life cycle of the main filter.
In order to prevent possible damage to the main filter from hot sparks or welding spatter, installation of the spark
arrester (product code: J5262) is recommended at the same time. The odour filter (product code: J5258) can be used
instead of the prefilter in order to reduce unpleasant odours.
HOW TO REPLACE
Jackson Safety® R60 Airmax Elite®
FILTERS
Filters are removed from the unit by unscrewing them one by one separately in a counterclockwise direction. New filters
must be attached to the unit one by one, by screwing the filters into the unit’s body in a clockwise direction. Ensure they
are properly tightened, in order to guarantee tightness against leaks (see pictorial supplements 1A, 1B).
Installing the prefilter/odour filter and the spark arrester
Remove the filter cover from the filter body by pulling its protrusion away from the filter body. Place the prefilter/ odour
filter and the spark arrester into the recess in the filter’s body (place the prefilter/odour filter first and only then place the
spark arrester – if placed otherwise, the spark arrestor cannot work properly.). Secure the new prefilter and the spark
arrester by snapping the filter cover (see pictorial supplements 2A, 2B).
