2. Turn on your SS9000X V2.0
™. You will need to wait up to five minutes for the
Sureshotgps™ to lock into the available satellites
3. In the main menu select
Golf
then
Self Mapping
4. Start by selecting
Area
, when you touch the empty bar it will ask you to select a country.
Then repeat the process with
Region
.
5. If you are mapping a new course select the empty bar next to
Course
and type the name
6. If you are editing an existing course select
Course.
This will
display all the available
courses on your device.
7. As you walk along the course select
Hole, Par
and
Type
to customise the course. Once
you select
Add
, the GPS will lock in your position.
8. Select
save
once finished.
4.7 Golf
– Settings
4.7.1 Units -
Option to select Metres or Yards. NOTE: If you change units to the Yards you
must also change them in the settings menu under section 6.5.
4.7.2 Course Select [Auto Course Recognition]-
The SS9000X V.20 is preloaded with
Australian Golf Courses. To make it easy to find your course, the unit will automatically display
the five closest golf courses to your location. You can then select the course you want to play.
NOTE: this feature only works once you arrive at the golf course and have GPS reception.
You can manually select a course by turning off this feature by TICKING the OFF box.
4.7.3 Hole Select [Auto Hole Recognition]-
This feature allows you to move around the golf
course without having to change the hole you are viewing. It can be turned on or off. The
SS9000X V.20 will automatically change the hole you are viewing. The AHR requires the unit
to go within 29m of the centre of the green and then move away 31m from the centre of the
green
–the SS9000X V.20 will then advance to the next hole. If the unit remains within 30m of
the centre of the green then the AHR will not advance to the next hole. You can manually
select a hole by turning off this feature by ticking the OFF box. Touch the hole number and it
will take you back to the listing of holes.
