Update IPMI LAN Configuration
This feature allows the user to decide if the BIOS should configure the IPMI setting
at next system boot. The options are
No
and Yes. If the option is set to Yes, the
user is allowed to configure the IPMI settings at next system boot.
Configuration Source
This feature selects whether the IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway Address
are automatically assigned by the network's DHCP server (Dynamic Host and Con-
figuration Protocol) "Dynamic" or manually entered by the user "Static". If Static is
selected, the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway Address must be manually
entered below. When Dynamic is selected, all the options below are automatically
assigned to the system by itself or by an external DHCP server.
The options are Static and
DHCP
. The following items are displayed when Static
is selected:
Station IP Address
- Enter the IP address for this machine. This should be in
decimal and in dotted quad form (i.e., 192.168.10.253). The value of each three-
digit number separated by dots should not exceed 255.
Subnet Mask
- Subnet masks tell the network which subnet this machine be-
longs to. The value of each three-digit number separated by dots should not
exceed 255.
Station MAC Address
- MAC addresses are 6 two-digit hexadecimal numbers
(Base 16, 0 ~ 9, A, B, C, D, E, F) separated by dots (i.e., 00.30.48.D0.D4.60).
Gateway IP Address
- Enter the Gateway or Router address this machine will
use (i.e., 192.168.10.1).
