Hyperthreading (Available when supported by the CPU)
Set to Enabled to use the Hyperthreading Technology, which will result in in-
creased CPU performance. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Core-Multi-Processing
(Available when supported by the CPU.)
Set to Enabled to use a processor's Second Core and beyond. (Please refer to
Intel's web site for more information.) The options are Disabled and
Enabled.
Intel Enhanced Debug
(Recommended for maintenance)
This feature allows an operating system level debug of issues that may be pro-
cessor related. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Machine Checking
(Available when supported by the CPU.)
Set to Enabled to activate the function of Machine Checking and allow the CPU to
detect and report hardware (machine) errors via a set of model-specifi c registers
(MSRs). The options are Disabled and
Enabled.
Compatible FPU Code
(Available when supported by the CPU.)
Set to Enabled
to keep the content of the last instruction Operating Code (OP-
Code) in the fl oating point (FP) state. The options are
Disabled
and Enabled.
L3 Cache
(Available when supported by the CPU.)
This feature allows you to select this very fast memory that fi lters information
between the processor and the slower RAM. The options are
Enabled
or
Disabled.
Thermal Management 2
(Available when supported by the CPU.)
Set to
Enabled
to use Thermal Management 2 (TM2,) which will lower the CPU
voltage and frequency when the CPU temperature reaches a predefi ned over-
heat threshold. Set to Disabled to use Thermal Manager 1 (TM1), allowing CPU
clocking to be regulated via the CPU Internal Clock modulation when the CPU
temperature reaches the overheat threshold.
