6-5  Drive Bay Installation/Removal

Accessing the Drive Bays

SATA Drives: You do not need to access the inside of the chassis or remove power 
to replace or swap SATA drives. Proceed to the next step for instructions.
Note: You must use 2.5" drives in the SuperServer 2027R-E1CR24N.
The cjhassis supports 24 hot-swappable hard drives. Only enterprise level SATA 
HDDs are recommended for use in the SC216 chassis.

Removing Hard Drive Carriers from the Chassis

1.  Press the release button on the drive tray. This extends the drive bay handle.

2.  Use the handle to pull the tray out of the chassis.
