3.6 Storage Drives
The system supports thirty-six hot-swap 3.5" SAS/SATA storage drives in hybrid bays—24 in
the front of the system and 12 in the rear.
The drives are mounted in tool-less drive carriers that simplify their removal from the chassis.
These carriers also help promote proper airflow.
Note:
Enterprise level drives are recommended for use in Supermicro chassis and servers.
For compatible storage drives, use the
X12SPI-TF motherboard page.
