Introduction
1-1 Overview
The AS1040C-T/1040C-8 is a high-end quad processor server that is comprised of
two main subsystems: the 1000/-1000 1U server chassis and
the H8QCE+/H8QC8+ serverboard. Please refer to our web site for information on
operating systems that have been certifi ed for use with the 1040C-T/1040C-8.
In addition to the serverboard and chassis, various hardware components have
been included with the 1040C-T/1040C-8:
One (1) slim DVD-ROM drive [DVM-PNSC-824(B)]
Six (6) 4-cm counter-rotating chassis fans (FAN-0086)
Four (4) heatsink retention modules with 8 screws (BKT-0005)
Four (4) CPU backplates, pre-installed (BKT-0004)
