Important! Use extreme caution when working around the SAS
backplane. Do not touch the backplane with any metal objects
and make sure no ribbon cables touch the backplane or obstruct
the airfl ow holes.

3. SAS backplane
The SAS drives plug into a SAS backplane. Two ribbon cables from the SAS0~3
and SAS4~7 ports on the serverboard should be connected to the SAS backplane.
There are also two power connectors on the backplane - both should be connected.
The backplane has four channel connectors that the SAS drives plug into when
inserted with a SAS drive carrier. You cannot cascade the SAS backplane.
