6-7 Power Supply
The system has a 400 watt redundant power supply consisting of two power mod-
ules. In the event that one power module fails, the redundant module will keep
the system powered on. The failed power module should be replaced as soon as
possible.
This power supply is auto-switching capable, enabling it to automatically sense and
operate at a 100v to 240v input voltage. New units can be ordered directly from
Supermicro (see contact information in the Preface).
Replacing the Power Supply
Replacing the Power Supply
With redundant power, the system should keep running if a single power module
fails.
1. Remove the AC power cord from the back of the failed power supply module.
2. Push the release tab on the rear of the power supply.
3. Pull the power supply out of the power supply bay using the handle.
4. Push the new power supply module into the power bay until it clicks.
5. Plug the AC power cord back into the module.
