Hood And Body Assembly 
 
4.  Position the hood base (1) towards the top rear of barbecue and secure using two M5 x 12 

mounting screws (5) as illustrated in Fig 2. 

 
5.  Re-secure the Side Heat Shield and the front bracket of the Hood Base using the previously 

removed Heat Shield mounting screw (A).  Repeat procedure on the opposite side. 

 
6.  Fit hood pivot bushes (6) to each side of the hood base.  Place hood top (2) within the hood 

base and fit a pivot screw (9) on each side through a washer (10) then through both side 
panels of the hood base, pivot bush and hood top.  Fasten tightly with a star (7) and a hex nut 
(8). 

 
7.  Assemble together the oven hood top and handle as shown in Fig 3. Make sure that the small 

spacers (14) are located between the heat shield (4) and the front face of the oven hood.  
Also make sure that the heat shield bends are pointing towards the oven hood. 

 
8.  Check the operation of the oven hood by opening it and then closing it.  The oven top should 

roll back smoothly and rest in the vertical position while opened.

9.  Fit the flame tamer to the right-hand side of the barbecue. 
 
10. 

Replace both the hot plate and grill plate. The grill plate should be positioned above the flame 

tamer on the right-hand side. 

 

 
11. Line the fat tray with aluminum foil and slide the fat tray in position. Do not fill the fat tray with 

sand or kitty litter. 

 
12. Remove the sticker from the front of the hood before use.
