I. TILT-IN-SPACE MECHANISM

The tilt-in-space mechanism is installed 
by Sunrise. A cable trigger mechanism
positively locks the chair in place from 
0

o

to 45

o

.

1. Cable Adjustment

a. Loosen the jam nut by turning it 

clockwise.

b. Turn the cable adjuster until slack

is removed from cable.

c. Tighten jam nut.

Important Note:

Gas Cylinder. Gas charged

cylinder. It is non-repairable. Call an authorized
representative if it is not working properly.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE FROM 
WHEELCHAIR.

J. DUAL TRIGGER RECLINING

MECHANISM

The dual trigger reclining mechanism is

installed by Sunrise.

1. To Recline or Raise Backrest

a. Depress both triggers (a) at the same

time. Releasing the triggers positively
locks the backrest in place within its

range.

b. To secure backrest position, insert the

locking pin (b) into the trigger holder.

Always lock the dual trigger reclining
mechanism securely in place after posi-
tioning the backrest.

H. ANTI-TIP TUBES

Anti-tip tubes are recommended for all
wheelchairs.

Note:

Use a torque setting of 100 in.-lbs. when

setting up the anti-tip tubes.

1. Inserting Anti-Tip Tubes  Into

Receiver

a. Press the rear anti-tip release lever 

(c) on the anti-tip tube so that both
release pins are drawn inside.

b. Insert into the anti-tip tube receiver (d).
c. Turn the anti-tip tube down until

release pin is through the receiver
mounting hole.

d. Insert second anti-tip tube the same way.

2. Adjusting Anti-Tip Tube Wheel 

(avail able with 20” rear wheels only)

The anti-tip tube wheels may have to be
raised or lowered to achieve proper clear-
ance 1 1/2” to 2”.
a. Press the anti-tip wheel release button

so that both release pins are drawn
inside (e).

b. Raise or lower to one of the three

predrilled holes.

c. Release button.
d. Adjust the second anti-tip tube wheel

the same way.

Important Note:

Both wheels should be at

exactly the same height.
