Make sure that the large base trim ring (E) is square 
and parallel to the beam. Secure trim with two 1" 
screws (X) on opposite sides of the posts. Repeat 
for remaining posts.

After beam, rafter, and shade trim have been  
installed, the pergola should look like this.
