18. Cet appareil comprend un cordon court afin de ne pas risquer de faire

trébucher, comme pourrait le faire un cordon plus long.

19. Une rallonge peut être utilisée si les précautions voulues sont adoptées.

20. Lors de l’utilisation d’une rallonge, les caractéristiques électriques 

de celle-

ci doivent être d’au moins 15 ampères et de 120 volts. La rallonge ne doit

pas pendre du plan de travail ou du plateau de table afin que les enfants

ne risquent pas de la tirer ou de trébucher.

* Cet appareil est muni d’une fiche mise à la terre, à 3 branches. Elle ne doit être

branchée que sur une prise de courant à 3 trous convenablement mise à la

terre. Ne modifiez absolument pas la fiche.

PRÉCAUTIONS:

AVERTISSEMENT

: POUR NE PAS VOUS ÉCHAUDER, manipulez prudemment la

bouilloire quand l’eau chauffe, bout et refroidit. Gardez toujours le couvercle

bien fermé et n’orientez pas le bec verseur vers qui que ce soit, sans quoi la

vapeur risquerait de brûler et d’échauder.

1. Placez la bouilloire aussi loin du bord du plan de travail que possible.

2. La seule fonction de cette bouilloire est de CHAUFFER L

’EAU. 

Elle n’est pas destinée à chauffer d’autres liquides ou à cuire des aliments.

3. Lavez-la uniquement à la main.

4.

Ne la remplissez pas au-delà du repère «Max» pour éviter que l’eau

bouillante ne crache hors du bec verseur.

5.

Ne tenez pas l’interrupteur en position de marche, vous risqueriez

d’endommager le mécanisme d’arrêt automatique.

6.

Placez une main sur le couvercle pour verser.

7.

Tenez toujours la verseuse par sa poignée quand vous la portez ou 

la déplacez.

8.

La verseuse devient très chaude, manipulez-la prudemment.

9.

Ne plongez la verseuse ou le socle chauffant ni dans l’eau ni dans un autre

liquide, quel 

qu’il soit.

18. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting

from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

19. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is exercised in its

use.

20. If an extension cord is used the marked electrical rating of the extension

cord must be at least 15 amps and 120 volts. The resulting extended

cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or

table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over

accidentally.

* This appliance has a grounded 3-prong electrical plug. It must be plugged

only into a properly grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not  modify the plug in any

way.

PRECAUTIONS:

WARNING: TO AVOID SCALDING, handle this kettle with care as water is

heating, boiling, and cooling. The lid must remain in place during use to 

avoid steam burns. Keep spout away from persons as scalding can result 

from steam. 

1. Place the electric kettle well back from the edge of the counter.
2. This kettle is intended for boiling WATER ONLY. Do not heat any other

 liquid or attempt to cook any food in this appliance.

3. Hand wash only.
4. Do not exceed the “Max” water level mark when filling. Overfilling

could cause hot water to boil out of the spout.

5. Do not hold the switch on as this may damage the auto shut-off

mechanism.

6. Hold top of lid when pouring from the electric kettle.
7. Carry or move electric kettle by handle only.
8. Kettle body may get very hot, be careful when handling.
9. Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid.
