Operation
This chapter describes the basic operations that can be performed on a Sun StorEdge
T3 disk tray:

3.1
Powering Off and On
You do not need to power off the disk tray except under the following
circumstances:
■
Hardware reconfiguration
■
Relocation
■
Replacement of the centerplane and chassis
■
Emergency, such as a threat of flooding
3.1.1
Powering Off
Caution –
This procedure will power off the disk tray and all disk trays connected
to it.
Note –
If the disk tray is operating in the Solaris environment and there are volumes
mounted, unmount the volumes on the data host before powering off the disk tray.
