Caution –
Do not use Benzene, Paint Thinner, Record Cleaner, Static Repellent or
any type of CD or DVD lens cleaner. These chemicals can damage the surface of the
DVD-ROM disk. In addition, these fluids will build up on the lens cleaning brush in
your DVD-ROM reader, reducing effectiveness.
Note –
In some circumstances, if your DVD-ROM disk does not have a clean data
surface, your system may fail to boot.
Antistatic Precautions
Caution – Wear an antistatic wrist strap and use an ESD-protected mat when
handling components. When servicing or removing system unit components, use an
antistatic wrist strap with a 10mm press stud connection and attach the antistatic
wrist strap to the press stud at the rear, side, or front of the chassis before removing
any covers or components.
Attaching the Antistatic Wrist Strap
Wrist strap attachment points are provided on the front and rear of the system and
on each side of the chassis.
