Removing and Installing Power Supplies
The Netra CT 820 server accommodates up to eight 250W modular power supplies.
The power supplies are load sharing, and hot-swappable, and plug directly into the
power trays (
The number of power supplies needed in any given system depends on the load in
that system. Every Netra CT 820 server is shipped out with eight power supplies;
this is the suggested number of power supplies to ensure complete power supply
redundancy in your system.
Caution –
Power supply maintenance should only be performed by trained
personnel. When the system is plugged in, energy hazards are present on the
midplane. Do not reach into the enclosure.
Caution –
All power supplies must be of identical make and model. If changing
make or model, power must be removed from the chassis and all supplies must be
replaced.
