Chapter 3: Installation
Connecting the Printer (optional)
The Analyzer is configured for use with a printer using an eight-bit parallel interface. Refer to your printer’s
operation manual for details regarding the connector pin functions. The Seiko thermal printer contains this
information in Section 6.2 of its operation manual. The printer port is located on the left side of the
Analyzer, as shown in Figure 5: Printer Port. Connect one end of the printer cable to the printer port on the
Analyzer and the other end to the parallel port on the printer.

Configuring the Analyzer
Initial Stream Configuration
Multistream units are shipped with only Sample Stream 1
Enabled
. If additional streams are connected to
the Analyzer, those streams will need to be
Enabled
and configured as follows:
1. Using the soft keys on the front of the Analyzer, press
Setup
Stream Setup
Stream
Settings
.
2. Note the
NAME
of the sample stream that is displayed (e.g.,
Stream-1
). If this is not the Sample
Stream you wish to modify, advance to the desired Sample Stream by pressing
Next
.
3. Using the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow soft keys, scroll until the word
Disabled
is highlighted.
