Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH)
Auto Vehicle Hold gives your feet a break by
automatically holding your Subaru in place
when it is at a complete stop, such as at a
traffic signal, even after you release the brake
pedal. The function works when the select
lever is not in the “P” position.
To turn the function on, simply select the Auto
Vehicle Hold button on the home screen in the
Center Information Display. When the AVH
function is on, the Auto Vehicle Hold indicator
illuminates in the Combination Meter Display.
Once you bring your Subaru to a complete
stop by depressing the brake pedal, the
function operates to keep your Subaru in
place.
While your Subaru is being held by this
function, the Auto Vehicle Hold indicator
flashes. Depress the accelerator pedal or
brake pedal to release the Auto Vehicle Hold
function. Select the Auto Vehicle Hold button
on the home screen again to turn AVH off.
NOTE:
• For this system to work, your driver’s door
must be closed, and your seatbelt must be
fastened.
•
Make sure to turn off this function before
entering an automatic car wash.
