12.2. Disposal
Theultrasonichumidifierconsistsofmetalandplasticparts.Theinstructionsbeloware
based on Directive 2002/96/EC from the European Parliament and the European Council
of27January2003,andtherelevantnationalimplementingprovisions:
1.
The components of electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of as municipal
waste, and must therefore undergo a waste separation process.
2.
Public or private disposal systems approved by the local authorities must be used for disposal.
Furthermore, after its use the unit can be part-exchanged by the retailer on the purchase of a
new product.
3.
Thisequipmentmaycontainhazardoussubstances:improperuseorincorrectdisposal
may have negative consequences for human health and the environment.
4.
Thesymbolaffixedtotheproduct/packagingandintheinstructionsforuse
(crossed-outwastecontaineronwheels)indicatesthattheunitwasintroduced
onto the market after August 13, 2005 and must therefore undergo waste separation.
5.
If electrical and electronic waste is not disposed of in accordance with
regulations, the penalties demanded by local disposal regulations shall be imposed.

other necessary steps.
