Pressure Vessel
Should the need arise for the vessel to have its air charge checked or replenished,
it should be carried out as follows:
1.
Isolate pump electrically.
2.
Isolate hot and cold water supplies via the integral pump isolating valve
located in the flexible hoses (see Section 8.1).
3.
Release system water pressure by opening a system outlet (tap).
4.
Check air charge at Schrader valve (Figure 16) using a tyre pressure gauge.

Replenish air charge if required by injecting air into the vessel via the Schrader
valve using a car or bicycle pump, ensuring a system outlet valve (tap) remains
open during this procedure to allow the vessel to exhaust any excess water.
6.
Close all system taps, open hot and cold inlet pump isolating valves, turn on
electrical power.
7.
After maintenance is completed refer to Section 10 - Commissioning for
instructions on re-starting pump.
