Adjust the height of the specimen mover in relation to the prepa-
ration disc: Adjusting Pedemat

Mount a preparation disc on RotoPol-31/-35.
„
Mount a specimen mover plate in the coupling of Pedemat.
„
Lower Pedemat into work position.
„
Measure the distance between the specimen mover plate and
the preparation disc. The correct distance is 1-2 mm. If the
distance is not correct, the stop ring on Pedemat can be
disengaged by loosening the retaining screw and adjusting the
height. Remember to fasten the screw again after the
adjustment.

Socket for Specimen Mover
Establish the electronic connection between RotoPol-31/-35 and
the specimen mover: connect the cable from the specimen mover
to the socket at the rear of RotoPol-31/-35.
IMPORTANT
The distance between the specimen mover plate and preparation disc
should be 1-2 mm. Do not tighten the fastening screws on the left-hand side
of the RotoPol-31/-35 cabinet without having a column mounted.
IMPORTANT
If RotoPol-31/-35 has to be relocated, the specimen mover
should be removed.
