- Be aware that the heater may become hot during
operation, so place it on a stable, horizontal, heat
resistant surface (e.g., stone, marble, tile) out of reach of
children and away from flammable materials (such as
curtains) to allow easy access and removal of the power
plug! Never locate the appliance directly in corners and
observe the minimum mounting distances.
WARNING:
Do not cover! Covering the appliance can cause overheating, fire or electric shock!
- Set the heater to mode
.
- Connect the fan heater to the mains.
- Set the thermostat knob to position MAX.
- The heater will be switched on by setting to one of the two operating modes (
,
) for model BGP1505-02-
17 or three operating modes (
,
,
) for model BGP1505-03-17.
- The thermostat can be used to set the ambient temperature of the room. In modes
or
the appliance
will switch on when the ambient air temperature falls below the value set. As the set temperature is reached,
the heating elements turn off while the fan continues to operate.
- If you would like to set a higher temperature, turn the thermostat knob clockwise, if you want to set it lower,
then turn it counterclockwise.
- Before switching off set the switch knob to mode
, so that only the fan operates. Cool the appliance this
way for 2 minutes then switch it off.
- In the event of overheating, the self-resetting cut-out will switch off the unit, for example when the air inlets
and outlets are covered. Power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet. Allow the appliance to cool
(for at least 30 minutes). Check whether the air inlets and outlets are obstructed or not, and clean them if
necessary. Switch on the unit again. If the self-resetting cut-out activates again, power off the unit by unplugging
it from the electric outlet and contact an authorized service center.
- When using the heater for the first time, you may notice a slight emission of smoke. This is quite normal and it
stops after a short time. The heating element is made of steel and was coated with a layer of protection oil by
production. The smoke is caused by the left oil when heated.
