Logically install each tape drive in the enclosure (one or two drives) by adding the
drive(s) to OpenVOS with the OpenVOS
setup_tape
command. For information on

Powering On the Components
Perform the following steps to power on the system’s components.
1. To power on the PDUs, perform steps
through
for each PDU in the system.
N O T E S
1. The system has a minimum of two PDUs and a
maximum of four PDUs, based on the configuration
and options.
2. System components have dual power cords and are
connected to separate PDUs for redundancy. Follow
factory cabling if you are replacing components or
installing optional components.
3. The PDUs are mounted vertically along the left and
right vertical rails at the rear of the cabinet.
a. At the rear of the cabinet, connect the power-jumper cords (number
3
in
) from the system components to the PDU.
b. Connect the PDU power-input cord (number
2
) to the PDU and
to a separate AC power source.
c. Turn on the breaker switch (number
1
).
