Tensioning the X & Y Drive Belts
Zero the Dial Indicator
1.
Insert the zero gauge block into the gauge. See
2.
Loosen the adjustment screw and slide the dial indicator assembly up or down to set the
‘zero’ reading: The large hand should be on 0 and the small hand on 5.
3.
Tighten the adjustment screw (do not over tighten the screw) and recheck the reading.
4.
Remove the zero block gauge block from the fixture.

Checking/Adjusting the X-Drive Belt Tension
1.
Remove the top and side panels.
2.
If required, allow system to cool to room temperature (approximately 20 minutes).
3.
Move the Head Assembly to the full right travel position within the build envelope (as
viewed from the front of the printer).
4.
Position the dial indicator on the
rear
section of the X-Drive belt - centered between the
Head Assembly and the left side of the build envelope. See
Note:
The X & Y Drive Belt Tension must be checked and adjusted with the
system and belts at room temperature (approximately 20 minutes).
