7.3.4.1 Data storage on CD/DVD
The system saves all the patient data on CD or DVD. Several data storage devices may be
required. Once a data storage device has reached full capacity, it is ejected. A message
appears stating that a new storage device must be inserted.
Once the data has been saved on CD or DVD, the window Label CD/DVD appears. This
provides a suggestion for labeling the data storage device. KARL STORZ recommends using
this suggestion as this prevents mix-ups or assignment problems between the data storage
device and patient file.
Data from several patients/procedures cannot be saved on one CD or DVD.
7.3.4.2 Storing data with minimum memory space
The user is responsible for using and managing removable storage devices.
The system continuously checks the memory space on the hard disks. This ensures that
enough space is available for the images and video recordings.
Old exports are overwritten automatically as soon as the memory capacity gets too low. A
warning with the remaining recording time is displayed in the information bar.
Ensure that there is enough storage space available on the hard disk.
7.3.4.3 Forced restart during data backup
The RAM on the hard disk is continuously monitored. Once a particular limit has been reached,
a restart is required. A message to this effect appears in the information bar and remains there
until the restart is performed.
Once the limit has been exceeded, a restart will be forced. Old images and video recordings
can impair the system and should be removed.
7.4 Previous procedures
The Previous procedures tab contains all the data of previous procedures.
1.
Tap the Filing Cabinet button to display patient documentation that has already been
created.
2.
Tap the Open Tasks button to edit and finish the documentation from previous
procedures.
7.4.1 Filing Cabinet
The Filing Cabinet module is used to display documentation which has already been created
and which can be stored in the following destinations:
–
Local data storage device
–
Network drive
–
Self-made optical data storage device
–
USB stick
The data can be viewed, played back, or copied to other destinations, e.g., USB, CD, DVD,
and networks such as PACS, HIS, and AAR. The data cannot be deleted.
To avoid mix-ups with data from ongoing treatments, the module is a different color from the
rest of the user interface.
