If your external SCSI cables are long enough that they do not interfere with 
replacing the CRU, you do not need to disconnect those cables.

CAUTION:

Possible data loss or system problem:

 If you must disconnect the 

external SCSI cables, make sure that you quiesce the system first (stop 
all processes on the drives on the SCSI bus with the drive you are 
replacing).

Note:

You do not need to remove power from the library to replace the CRU.
