WARNING
Hour Meter (Item 9, Technical Data)
The hour meter records the hours of opertation and is used to determine when periodic
maintenance is required. Record hours and dates of service on Service Record Chart.
Avoid leaving the key on when machine is not running. This
will have an effect on the hour meter readings.
Engine Pre-Heat Lamp (Item 10, Technical Data)
For cold weather starting. Light illuminates when key is turned to pre-heat position.
Engine Temperature Gauge (Item 11, Technical Data)
Displays engine coolant temperature. Normal range is 180-202F (82-94C).
Engine Oil Pressure Gauge (Item 12, Technical Data)
Displays engine oil pressure. Normal range is 28-56 psi (1.96-3.92 bar).
Engine Warning Light (Item 13, Technical Data)
If warning light illuminates during operation engine service is mandatory. Check gauges
for normal operating range.
Voltmeter (Item 14, Technical Data)
Displays machine operating voltage. Normal range is 12-14 volts.
Parking Brake Light (Item 15, Technical Data)
Light illuminates when parking brake is applied.
GAUGES
IMPORTANT: Any time an electric gauge or meter does not register correctly, replace it
with a new one. Do not attempt to repair it.
lIGHTS
Check warning light and parking brake light before starting. When the key is in the ON
position the lights will illuminate.
AIR ClEANER
IMPORTANT: The air intake system must not leak. Any leak, no matter how
small, may result in engine failure due to abrasive dirt and dust entering
the intake system.
1. Inspect all intake hoses (piping) for cracks.
2. Check clamps on piping which connect the air cleaner and engine.
3. Squeeze dust unloader valve (A) on air cleaner assembly to remove dust deposits.
If clogged, remove and clean the dust unloader valve. Replace if damaged.
IMPORTANT: Do not operate engine without the dust unloader valve.
