CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
· Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning it.

Wipe residues from the soleplate with a damp cloth or with a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
Caution: Do not use any chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to scrape the soleplate.
· Clean the upper part of the iron with a soft, damp cloth.
· Wipe the water drops on the steam generator and the thermal insulation pads with a dry cloth.
· When not using the steam generator for a long time, pour out the water from the water tank and place
the iron on the thermal insulation pads to store the appliance.
· Store the steam hose in the storage area provided.
CAUTION
: In case of use of a
“softener” and/or perfumed water, brown stains could emerge, which
would cause damage to the steam chamber.
SELF-CLEANING FUNCTION
After about 11 ironing hours, the indication light of the self-cleaning button will
start flashing. This means you need to clean the iron.
1.
Hold the iron over a sink.
2.
Press the self-cleaning button for a few seconds. The indication light will
flash during the descaling process.
3.
The pump will allow water to flow through the iron, cleaning it
itself. This will take about one minute.
4.
If the appliance has been cleaned sufficiently, the appliance will
turn of automatically.
ANTI SCALE CARTDIGE REPLACEMENT
For optimum performance, it is advised to replace the anti-scale
cartridge every 6-8 months, depending upon the frequency of use
and the hardness of water in the area. To replace the anti-scale
cartridge proceed as follows:
Open the lid and replace the anti scale cartridge with a new one. Close the lid.
ATTENTION!
The new anti-scale cartridge should be soaked in water in
a separate container for approximately 5-10 minutes, before its first use.
Not doing so could prevent the pump station from emitting steam.
ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection center or to a dealer
providing this service.
Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environment and health, deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the
constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder
of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out
wheeled dustbin.
