Quick Start Guide
Before installing your upright freezer, read all safety instructions in the supplied
manual, especially the sections on electrical safety and installation. This Quick
Start Guide only covers basic points.
Installation
• Place the freezer on a sturdy, level floor that is
strong enough to support the unit when it is fully
loaded. Avoid locations that are close to direct
sunlight, sources of heat, extreme cold ambient
temperatures and areas of high humidity. Make
sure the freezer is positioned level and there is a
space of at least 12cm at the back and sides
or air circulation.
• Before plugging in the freezer, let it stand
upright for approximately 2 hours to allow the
refrigerant gases to settle. After plugging the
appliance into a wall outlet, allow the unit to
cool down for 2 to 3 hours before placing
food inside.
Temperature control
• The temperature control is located at the back
of the freezer in the bottom corner. It can be
set from position “1” (warmest) to “7” (coldest).
• The first time you turn the unit on, set the
temperature control to the maximum position,
using a flathead screwdriver. Then, after 24
hours, adjust the temperature control to the
setting that suits your needs, between 5 and 6
should be appropriate for standard use.
• To turn the freezer off, turn the temperature
control to MIN, which will stop the cooling
cycle. Then unplug the unit from the
power supply.
