The cutlery basket
Your new dishwasher is equipped with a removable cutlery basket with anti-nesting grid.

• Do not let any item extend through the
bottom of the basket.
• Always load sharp utensils with the
sharp point down.

You can use it with the anti-nesting
grid up or down, as convenient
(Fig. 12).
Fig. 13 shows you how to load the
basket with the anti-nesting grid to
hold a cutlery set for 14 people (where
some of the cutlery pieces are loaded
on the cutlery tray in the upper basket,
as illustrated in Fig. 6).
For personal safety and top quality
cleaning, place your dishwasher-safe
standard size cutlery in the basket,
making sure that:
• Cutlery is placed with the handles down.
• Items do not nest together (use of the anti-
nesting grid will prevent this).
• Knives and other potentially dangerous
utensils are placed sharp point down, or in a
horizontal position on the cup/cutlery racks in
the upper basket.
• No item extends through the bottom of the
basket (Fig. 14).
• Long utensils are placed in a horizontal
position on the cup/cutlery racks in the upper
basket.
