Quick Start Guide
Read the supplied instruction manual before installing the chest freezer. It contains
comprehensive installation and usage instructions and important safety advice.
This Quick Start Guide only covers basic points.
Installation
• Place the freezer on a sturdy, level floor that is strong enough to support the unit
when it is fully loaded. Avoid locations that are close to direct sunlight, sources of
heat, extreme cold ambient temperatures and areas of high humidity. Make sure
the freezer is positioned level and there is a space of at least 12cm at the back and
5cm at the sides for air circulation.
• Before plugging in the freezer, let it stand upright for at least 4 hours to allow the
refrigerant gases to settle. After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the
unit to cool down for 2 to 3 hours before placing food inside.
Temperature control
• Press and hold the FRIDGE and FREEZER buttons for
three seconds at the same time to unlock the
system. You can now select a mode or adjust the
temperature.
• Press the FRIDGE button to use the cabinet in
“Fridge” mode and adjust the temperature in the
storage cabinet between 2°C and 6°C.
• Press the FREEZER button to use the cabinet in
“Freezer” mode and adjust the temperature in the
storage cabinet between -14°C and -25°C.
• Press the SUPER button to use the cabinet
temporarily in “Super Freezing” mode, the display
will show “SF”. This is recommended for fast freezing.
• The first time you turn the unit on, select the
appropriate mode and set the temperature control
to the coldest temperature in the range. Then, after
24 hours, adjust the temperature to one that suits
your needs.
