Cleaning and maintenance
The filter system
The filter system consists of a coarse filter, a flat (main) filter and a fine microfilter (Fig. 19):
The filter system efficiently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing it
to be recycled during the wash. It prevents larger remnants of food or other objects
from getting inside the pump.
To ensure best performance, check the filter assembly
after each wash and remove any larger food particles trapped in the filter assembly.
1 Flat (main) filter
Food and soil particles trapped by this
filter are pulverised by a special jet on
the lower spray arm and washed down
the drain.
2 Coarse filter
Larger items, such as pieces of bone
or glass that could clog the drain, are
trapped in the coarse filter. To remove
an item caught in this filter, gently
squeeze the tabs on the top of this filter
and lift it out.
3 Fine (micro) filter
This filter holds dirt and food residues in
the sump area and prevents them from
being redeposited on the dishes during
a wash cycle.

Removing the filter system
The entire filter assembly should be
cleaned once a week.
• To remove the filter assembly, turn
the coarse filter in anticlockwise
direction and then lift out the filter
assembly (Fig. 20-A + 20-B).
• After cleaning the filters, replace
them in reverse order.
