14.16 Fuses
Checking plug-in fuses:
● Stop the engine. ( Ö 12.3)
● Engage the parking brake. ( Ö 8.12)
● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a
safe place.
● Open the battery
compartment. (
Ö 14.17)
Remove the plug-in fuses (1,2). Visually
check whether the wire (3) in the plastic is
damaged (burnt through).
Replace damaged fuses.
Charging device (1): 15 A
Electrics (2): 10 A
● Close the battery
compartment. (

Checking the main fuse:
Nominal current:
150 amperes
● Stop the engine. ( Ö 12.3)
● Engage the parking brake. ( Ö 8.12)
● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a
safe place.
● Open the battery
compartment. (
Ö 14.17)
Remove the cover (1). Visually check
whether the wire (2) is damaged (blown). If
the wire is damaged, the fuse (3) must be
replaced by a specialist dealer. STIHL
recommends STIHL specialist dealers.
Replace the cover (1).
● Close the battery
compartment. (
Ö 14.17)
14.17 Battery compartment
● Stop the engine. ( Ö 12.3)
● Engage the parking brake.( Ö 8.12)
● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a
safe place.
● Move the driver's seat to the centre
position.
Opening battery compartment:
Press the retaining tabs (1) towards the
battery compartment cover (2) and hold.
Fold the battery compartment cover (2)
upwards.
Fire hazard!
Never bypass the fuses with wire or
foil.
Never use a fuse with a value that
differs from the specified rating
(amperes).
If a new fuse blows within a short
time, an electrical fault (e.g. short
circuit) is the probable cause.
