■ Check freedom of movement of the
bearing bushings before replacing the
polymer blades or the wear plate D.
Wash the bearing bushings (2) and col‐
lar screws (1) in a non-flammable liquid
before replacing the polymer blades or
the wear plate, then dry and lubricate
with STIHL Multispray (3) sold sepa‐
rately. Retighten the collar screws E.
Keep polymer blades and mowing lines in
a water bath between 12 hours and 24
hours before use to increase their useful
life.
