Appliance handover
11.3 Taking the appliance out of use
If you ever want to take the appliance out of use, carry out the
following steps:
f
f
Isolate the appliance from the power supply.
f
f
Close the cold water inlet.
f
f
Drain the appliance.
The appliance can only be drained via the safety valve or via a
drain valve.
f
f
Fully open the DHW valves on all draw-off points.
f
f
Open safety valve or drain valve.
Risk of scalding.
Hot water may emerge during draining.
11.4 Restarting
f
f
Open the cold water inlet.
f
f
Open a DHW draw-off point.
f
f
Fill the cylinder until no more air escapes from the draw-off
point, only water.
f
f
Close the draw-off point again.
f
f
Switch the mains power ON.
12. Appliance handover
Explain to the user how the appliance works, and hand over these
operating instructions.
13. Troubleshooting
In addition to the test steps in the „What to do if ... ?“ chapter,
check the following:
Fault
Remedy
Too little DHW
Is the immersion heater scaled up? Descale it if
required.
Little or no DHW
Check the controller and heating elements, and
replace if required.
No hot water. The high
limit safety cut-out has
responded because of
overheating.
Investigate the cause of the fault. If there does not
seem to be a cause, you can reset the high limit
safety cut-out. To do so, press the reset button with
a screwdriver, as shown below. If there are no pro-
blems with the heating element, but the high limit
safety cut-out continues to respond, replace the
controller/limiter combination.
No hot water. The high
limit safety cut-out has
responded because the
temperature has drop-
ped below -15 °C.
Press the high limit safety cut-out reset button.
No hot water. The flan-
ged immersion heater
is faulty.
Replace the flanged immersion heater.

14. Maintenance
14.1 Maintenance work
f
f
Check the safety valve and drip water outlet line.
f
f
Check the protective magnesium anode and replace if
required.
f
f
Remove loose scale deposits from the cylinder.
f
f
If necessary, descale the inner cylinder with commercially
available descaling agents.
Do not descale the appliance until you have removed the flanged
immersion heater. Never treat the cylinder surface with descaling
agents.
f
f
Check the electrical connection, particularly the earth
connection.
14.2 Wearing parts
Replace the protective magnesium anode if it has dissolved. Use
only original spare parts.
