Complete the wing assembly by installing the 2” length of 1/8” hardwood dowel spanning the wing center
section leading edge and 17.5” length of 1/8” dowel across the remainder of the leading edge (cut/sand off
excess dowel that extends beyond wing tip).
Sand the wing tips round.
Sand the trailing edge cap strips and the center section wing sheeting to taper into the trailing edge. Mind what
you are sanding and don’t take too much material off the trailing edge; simply bring the cap strip and sheeting to
the trailing edge thickness. The photos below illustrate the required sanding.
