Maintenance
To keep the touch panel and base unit in good condition, you need to regularly maintain them.
Maintaining the Touch Panel
The covering on the touch panel’s display is soft and easily scratched. Do not tap, touch, or rub it with glass
instruments, metal instruments, or anything else harder than pencil lead. Avoid touching it with anything greasy.
Do not set anything on top of it or attach anything to it. Wipe any liquid off it immediately.
If the display is smudged, wipe it with a soft dry cloth. If the display is dirty, moisten a soft dry cloth with either
isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol and gently wipe it. Do not scrub hard.
The following substances are especially damaging and must be avoided:
•
Water
•
Ketone
•
Aromatic solvents
Maintaining the Base Unit
To avoid damaging the finish on the base unit, wipe it with a cloth moistened with water or alcohol.
