6.4 ACCESSORY ATTACHMENTS
6.4.1 Mayo Stand
Insufficient clearance between table base and floor to
allow use of flat-bladed Mayo Stands. Correct as
follows:
1. Order Spacer Parts Pack (P150832-710).
2. Install spacers to all four casters per

6.4.2 Accessory Block Misalignment
If a situation exists where leg section, head section or
other accessory does not attach correctly or with
difficulty, adjust accessory block as follows:
.
NOTE: Minor adjustments to accessory receptacle positions
may be made by loosening tabletop screws, inserting the
accessory and then retightening the screws.
6.5 TABLE LASH PROCEDURES
Table lash may be caused by excessive play in rack and
pinion gear system and/or column bearing screws.
Check the rack and pinion play first. If lash is not
corrected by this procedure, move on to the column
bearing screws.
6.5.1 Rack And Pinion Gear Adjustment
Check table for excessive lash in rack and pinion gear
system as follows:
1. Remove seat section tabletop per

2. Remove seat plastic cover as described in

3. Measure lash. Lash must be no more than 1/16"
(1.6 mm) between column and sliding top.
4. Unhook pinion gear drive chain.
5. Fully mesh gears.
6. Completely translate tabletop to ensure gear mesh.
7. Reattach chain and set tension to just under full
tesion.

6.5.2 Column Bearing Screws Adjustment
Check table for excessive lash in column as follows:
1. Remove seat section tabletop per

3. Measure lash between inner and outer column
tubes. Lash must be no more than 5/64" (2 mm).
4. Lower lift column until a small gap exists between
outer tube and base plate (see Figure 6-3).

5. Using tabletop, center inner tube within outer tube
(see Figure 6-4) as viewed looking down from top
toward column.

6. Move tabletop horizontally and vertically. Note
direction of movement that exhibits lash (see
Figure 6-5 for examples).
7. Adjustment screws are glued with Loctite
®1
and
have a punch mark. Try to tighten loose screws. If
no movement:
a.
Use heat gun to loosen Loctite.
b.
Bore up punch mark.
c.
If screws still cannot be tightened, remove
them. Remove all Loctite and inspect thread.
Replace or reuse screws.
NOTE: Do not remove both screws from one
slide plate or plate falls and is very difficult to
reinstall.
d.
Apply Loctite and return screws but only hand
tighten. Ensure nose of screw fits into hole of
slide plate.
