Attach wire stand and insert glue sticks
into the heating channel at the back.

Rest applicator on wire stand (placing
a piece of cardboard or wood under-
neath it if necessary).

Let the applicator heat up for approx.
7 minutes.

Press trigger and apply glue to one side.
L
Firmly press together the materials
being glued, correcting alignment if
necessary.
L
Final bonding strength is reached after
a very short time (approx. 2 minutes)!

Spot gluing is recommended on long
items with large surfaces.
L
Rigid foam (e.g. polystyrene) can also
be glued without a problem. Merely
remember to apply the hot glue on the
base surface and not on the polysty-
rene.

When gluing textiles or similar materials,
it is recommended to apply the hot glue
in "wavy" lines.
L
After use, set tool on stand
and let it cool down.
L
Do not use liquid or pasty adhesives!
L
The glue reaches temperatures of up
to 200 degrees Celsius! You could burn
yourself!
L
You could burn yourself. After skin
contact with hot glue: immediately cool
with cold water. Do not try to remove
hot-melt glue from the skin. If necessary,
seek medical attention. After eye contact
with hot-melt glue: immediately cool for
approx. 15 min. with running water and
consult a doctor straight away.

The area you are gluing must be free of
grease, dry and absolutely clean.
L
Glue marks on clothing cannot be
removed.
L
Make sure heat-sensitive materials are
suitable for gluing
L
Drips of glue are best removed when
cold.
L
Do not pull the glue stick out of the
applicator. Hot glue running into the
applicator may cause damage.
L
Do not use in conjunction with highly
inflammable/combustible materials.
L
Adhesive joints and glued areas can be
painted or varnished over and can be
taken apart again by heating them
L
Always screw the nozzle tight after
replacing it (approx. 1 Nm).

Proper operation is only guaranteed
by using genuine STEINEL sticks.
