Trouble Shooting 

 

All  Embedded  Display  Products 

perform a self-test at the beginning of every workout. If a problem is detected, a mes-

sage displays before or after the workout, depending on the nature of the problem. Star Trac recommends that you refer 
your questions about your 

STAR  TRAC  PRODUCTS

 operation and suspected malfunctions to Star Trac’s Service Hot-

line at (800) 503-1221, or USA 1-714-669-1660. 

The following messages are displayed at the beginning of a workout if the associated problem is detected during self-test 
(codes used in the FIT_ERROR and DISP_ERROR commands). For Treadmills xCB is the Translator Board and For 
Bikes, TBTs and Steppers it is the LCB Board.

tions cable. 

4.  If the problem still persists change the Sidcup board.

the Sidcup during boot up. 

1.  Re-boot the unit and see if the problem goes away. 
2.  If the problem persists, check the communications 

cable between the Sidcup and the cob. Also check the 
communications cable between the Display and Sid-
cup. 

3.  Check the error code that is being flashed on the Sid-

cup. It may be different than the one being displayed 
on the display. Check this error code in the error 
codes table. 

4.  If the problem still persists change both of the commu-

nications cable.
