Battery state of charge indicator (Fig. B)

The battery includes a state of charge indicator to quickly 

determine the extent of battery life as shown in figure B. By 

pressing the state of charge button (6a) you can easily view 

the charge remaining in the battery as illustrated in figure B. 

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack from the 

tool

Warning! Make certain the lock-off button is engaged to 

prevent switch actuation before removing or installing battery.

To install battery pack (Fig. C)

u

  Insert battery pack firmly into tool until an audible click is 

heard as shown in figure C. Ensure battery pack is fully 

seated and fully latched into position.

To remove battery pack (Fig. D)

u

  Depress the battery release button (7) as shown in figure 

D and pull battery pack out of tool.

Storage hook (Optional extra) (Fig. E, F)

Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, place 

the Speed selector and lock off button in the lock-off position 

or turn tool off and disconnect battery pack before making any 

adjustments or removing/installing attachments or 

accessories.

An accidental start-up can cause injury.

Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, ensure 

the screw (12) holding the storage hook is secure.

Note: When attaching or replacing the storage hook (11), use 

only the screw (12) that is provided. Be sure to securely 

tighten the screw into the accessory attachment location.

If the hook is not desired at all, it can be removed from the 

tool.

To move the storage hook, remove the screw (12) that holds 

the storage hook (11) in place.

Assembly

Warning! Before assembly, remove the battery from the tool 

and make sure that the saw blade has stopped. Used saw 

blades may be hot.

Fitting the saw blade (fig. G)

Hold the tool away from the body

u

 

Rotate the blade clamp collar (3) in the direction shown in 

figure G.

u

 

Insert the shank of the blade (13) fully into the blade 

clamp collar (3).

u

 

Release the blade clamp collar and gently tug on the 

blade to ensure blade is clamped securely.

Note: The blade can be installed with the teeth up to assist in 

flush cutting.

Removing the saw blade (fig. G)

Warning! Burn hazard: Do not touch the blade and clamp 

collar immediately after use. Contact with the blade may result 

in personal injury.

Rotate the blade clamp collar (3) to the release position

Remove blade (13)

Lock-Off Button and Trigger Switch (Fig. H)

Your saw is equipped with a lock-off button (2) .

u

 

To lock the trigger switch, press the lock-off button on the 

left. Always lock the trigger switch when carrying or storing 

the tool to eliminate unintentional starting.

u

 

To unlock the trigger switch, press the lock-off button on 

the right. Pull the trigger switch to turn the motor ON. 

Releasing the trigger switch turns the motor OFF.

Warning! This tool has no provision to lock the switch in the 

ON position, and should never be locked ON by any other 

means.

The variable speed trigger switch will give you added 

versatility. The further the trigger is depressed the higher the 

speed of the saw.

Warning! Use of very slow speed is recommended only for 

beginning a cut. Prolonged use at very slow speed may 

damage your saw.

Correct hand position (Fig. I)

Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, 

ALWAYS use correct hand position as shown.  

Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, 

ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a sudden reaction.

Correct hand position requires one hand on the main handle 

(8) and one hand on the hand grip (5) or one hand on the 

main handle (8) with the material being cut properly clamped.

Worklight (Main figure on cover of manual)

Warning! Do not stare into worklight. Serious eye injury could result.

There is a worklight (9) located on the end of the tool near the 

shoe. The worklight is activated when the trigger switch is 

depressed, and will remain on for a short time after the trigger 

switch is released. If the trigger switch remains depressed, the 

worklight will remain on.
