TIPS ON USING

1.   The working time of the hot melts can be extended to

fiftyto sixty (50 to 60) seconds by applying the adhesive
inlarge drops (1/2” diameter) or shortened to less than
ten(10) seconds by extruding the adhesive in a thin line.

2.  Large areas are difficult to bond because the

adhesivefrequently will harden before you have extruded
the rightamount.

3.  Preheat surfaces, (especially metals) to improve

bondstrength. Direct sunlight will accomplish this.

4.  The adhesive remaining in an unheated glue gun willremelt

upon heating.

5.  Do not use on items that will be subjected totemperatures

above 140° F (60° C).

6.  Do not use hot melt to hold heavy loads.
7.  Some paints and stains can weaken the adhesive. Youmay

need to paint or stain before gluing.

sensitive materials. Test the adhesive on a piece of scrap
material to be sure which temperature setting is best for
your application.

4.  Load gun by inserting a low temp, high temp, or

dual temperature mini glue stick: Stanley® Dualmelt™
temperature glue will work in both low and high settings of
the glue gun.
Two (2) sticks are needed for first time use.

5.  Wait three (3) to six (6) minutes for the glue to heat up

initially. When changing temperature settings, move switch
to desired temperature setting. Extrude 4 inches of glue
through gun before proceeding.

6.  Glue is fed by simply pulling the trigger. Amount of glue is

determined by how far the trigger is pulled.

7.  To open the fold-away-stand, take hold of the flanges on

both sides of the stand and move forward, until the stand
locks into position.

8.  Unplug tool after us if it will not be used with in a two (2)

hour period.
