2. Stairway is secured to the pallet using 4 lag bolts at each corner of the base of
the frame. Use a
½
” wrench or socket wrench to remove these four bolts. Use a
hammer and crowbar to remove the 2x4s at the base of the front and back of the
unit. With the packaging and lag bolts removed, you can now tip the unit back
onto the transport wheels and roll the unit onto the floor.
CAUTION: To avoid injury and ensure your safety, be sure to get the
appropriate number of people to help you move the unit to its final location.
A fully assembled Stairway is very heavy and you might injure yourself if
you move the ladder improperly.
If you need to move the unit, ask for assistance. Roll the unit on its rear transport
wheels to its new location by slowly tipping the unit back to engage the wheel.
Be sure to have assistance as unit is heavy. Additional help supporting the front
end of the unit will improve the ease of movement.
Make sure that the unit is unplugged. Do not assemble the unit if it is plugged
into a power outlet.
