4.1 Function
Application range
The light fitting 6118 is equipment used for lighting areas, work equipment and objects
and serves as emergency lighting in case of power failure.
The light fitting can be equipped with an escape sign for marking of escape routes.
It can be used indoors and outdoors.
The light fitting is approved for use in hazardous areas of zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
Mode of operation
When opening the light fitting, the voltage supply automatically switches itself off via a
central lock (standard version).
In case of power failure and closed remote switch, the light fitting switches to emergency
light operation and the lamp is supplied with voltage and power for a set period of time
via the integrated battery.
The light fitting automatically carries out a weekly functional test and an annual rated
operating time test.
The functional test checks the function of the lamp and the battery.
The rated operating time test checks the function of the lamp and the capacity of the
battery. This test can be deactivated.
